Golfing in Tamarindo Costa Rica

Renowned as a golfing Mecca

Tamarindo Costa Rica and its surrounding area feature some of the best courses in the world. You may not be Tiger Woods, however the howler monkeys, parrots and macaws will cheer you on as you putt your stuff. Basically, there are two courses in the area. The one at the Paradisus Conchal Hotel which is basically a private course, however they will accept email reservations from certain hotels. The second is at Hacienda Pinilla which is the one near the JW Marriott Guanacaste. Both are absolutely beautiful championship courses.

Weather

Because golf is usually an outdoor sport, you may want to look at the average rainfall for each month. Tamarindo has a dry climate, but you may want to check the Tamarindo weather and rainfall chart.

Hacienda Pinilla - JW Marriott Guanacaste

If you're visiting the JW Marriot Guanacaste, this is your neighboring golf course. This 6,800 meter masterpiece ranks as one of the best championship golf courses in Cental America. The designer Mike Young is famous for also designing some of the finest in the southern USA. Of course, there is a great restaurant and the El Corral Turn House Pro Shop.
