Tamarindo Costa Rica Tours

Much of Costa Rican tourism involves a trip to a national park and volcanoes, plus a relaxing trip to a beach location. One travel strategy is to get you settled in Tamarindo Beach, then do day or overnight tours in the surrounding mountain areas. Only a 5-hours drive from the Arenal Volcano and 2-hours from the Rincon de la Veja volcano, we are conveniently located as a hub for most travel plans. Meet Tamarindo and Its Residents!

Tamarindo is a town with only a few streets, and we want you to enjoy every inch of it! Vacationing here is community-style vacation where you mentally drop into a new place, and escape from your usual routine. Feeling situated and knowing just a few people can add so much to this kind of vacation!

On our walk, we'll first listen to what you want to know, then answer your questions. We'll take you to meet the experts and turn you loose! Together, we'll get some exercise as we introduce you to some of our neighbors. Here is what you need to wear/bring:

  • Shorts, hat, sunglasses
  • Insect repellent (just in case)
  • Walking shoes
  • Camera
  • Something to write with
  • Something to carry brochures

During Off-Season, we wait till you contact us, then set up a schedule. For you early-birds, we start at the crack of dawn - about 9:00am. Best, to schedule the tour when you first get here. So, email us and let us know your best morning.

All of our guides have at least a decade of full-time experience living in Tamarindo or are native Costa Ricans. They do not sell rooms, tours, real estate, meals, or anything!
